Dear GDR Family –
As 2024 clinics launch, Global Dental Relief celebrates a new year of hope and the successful return to full scale clinics serving children globally.
In clinics, young patients receive all dental care needed to restore heathy smiles. Oral health education is emphasized, and children leave with a new toothbrush, lots of brushing instruction and a fluoride treatment.
Children are the highlight of each clinic. They lift us with their shy smiles, excited chatter, and their wide-open mouths as they climb into the dental chair.
GDR has also expanded our two newest programs investing in children. GDR’s School Lunch Program provided 239,000 nutritionally boosted lunches to children in Nepal.
Our Oral Health Program expanded to Cambodia, and now reaches 27,300 children in Nepal, Guatemala and Cambodia. In a classroom setting, children are taught oral health and receive new toothbrushes and fluoride treatments.
This is the challenge of this work: immediate treatment of dental caries, long-term understanding of the importance of oral health habits, and investment in daily nutrition to bolster each child during their young lives.
This work is only possible through the strong support of each of you – our dedicated donors, sponsors and volunteers. Please enjoy our annual Progress Report. Our hope is that you will join us in investing in the future of these children globally, restoring dental health, vitality and smiles – one child at a time.
With Hope for the Future –
Kim and The GDR Team
Dentists Needed to Volunteer in Cambodia!
Calling all Dentists! We need your help providing care to children in Siem Reap, Cambodia this summer from June 23-July 5th. If you have not traveled to Cambodia yet, now is your chance!
The volunteer experience is spectacular, especially the food, accommodations, and cultural sites.
Volunteers stay at a 5-star hotel and work alongside representatives from the hotel’s charitable foundation to provide essential dental care to hundreds of local kids.
There is a crucial need for dental care and oral health education in this area. In partnership with GDR, YOU can make a tangible difference in the lives and health of these children. Contact us for more details and to reserve your spot!
Help GDR launch our new location this fall!
We still have a few spots open for our first ever clinics in Coba, Mexico. Join us and be among the first volunteers to provide much needed dental care and education to this remote and beautiful area of the Yucatan Peninsula.
Volunteers stay at a hotel in Coba and have a short commute each day to the village of ChanChen to work in the clinic. Volunteers have a chance to visit the famous Coba Ruins, explore freshwater cenotes, and spend a relaxing weekend in Akumal in a beachfront condo after the clinic.
Together, we can improve the health of these children and give them hope for a future of healthy smiles!

In Gratitude to our Platinum Sponsor: Arhaus
Over more than a decade, Arhaus Furniture has provided vital financial support to GDR’s mission, allowing us to reach more children each year with life changing dental care, nutrition and education.
Thank you Arhaus for sustaining our work and believing in our mission!
New! Monthly Giving Option on GDR Website
Sponsoring GDR’s mission is easier than ever with the new option to set up Monthly Giving. Choose a pre-set level of giving, or donate at another level of your choice, and support GDR’s mission with automatic donations over the course of the year!
Monthly giving allows donors to give more over the course of the year than in a one time gift and helps GDR plan for the future. Knowing that we can count on your ongoing support allows us reach more children with dental care.
